A world where you can belong anywhere
Airbnb is a brand that appeal to me on a personal level. Its proposition of belonging resonates with me.
“We imagine a world where you can belong anywhere.”
So warm and fuzzy lah 💐.
Airbnb is not about renting houses, although there are people out there doing exactly that. Yes it’s a money making business and with all due respect, there is nothing wrong in doing so. These listings are still providing alternative way of accommodation for travelers, but in my humble view point, perhaps less in making it a memorable experience.

I made a haste decision in working with friends on a rental listing In Bangkok on Airbnb. It’s a short-lived project. It does brings in the money, but we decided to shut it down soon after we launched it, due to operational issue as the main reason.
Can’t we fix the operational problem? Yeah maybe, but ……………. do I / we want to fix it?
All in all, it was a good experience and learning, albeit a short one.
Well, for me, it also serves as another reminder not to compromise my own values and beliefs, and collaborate with like-minded people.
Will I do it again? Yes of course, with my own personal touch *wink*
