Whimsical Alice + Olivia Has Landed In Bangkok

Too much food postings in my blog, and it is turning into a food blog! That is not what I envision my blog to be! In defense of myself, I do have to eat everyday. And I do like to try new foods.

Well …

Fashion is something close to my heart, after handling numerous fashion clients in my life as a media planner. At one point, most of the agency’s fashion clients landed in my portfolio, for whatever reason.

I am attracted to anything-fashion, especially quirky pieces.

 

Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet‘s kooky display at Central Embassy caught my eyes, and I was awestruck by it.

 

Quirky logo, quirky mascot, quirky red lippies, quirky print *heartmelts

 

What is Alice + Olivia? Why the name? And who is Stacey Bendet? There are influx of new brands in Thailand, and many I have not heard of. This included.

Read that A + O was founded more than a decade ago in New York. The brand was named after 2 mothers – the designer’s own mother and that of a college classmate. 

The brand was born from the Stacey Bendet’s quest of creating the perfect pair of pants! So, is there a perfect pair of pants somewhere out there? Her interview with Business Insider says that she got her start tailoring funky pants for herself whilst she was an Uni student.
