Spoilt For Choice At Camp Forest Vegetarian Restaurant

Thanks to Mey and my 2nd sis for introducing this restaurant to me few years ago. Since then, I’ve patronized Camp Forest (甘味林蔬食園), a vegetarian restaurant at Kepong for a couple of times. Lunch with mommy today, and I brought her to this restaurant, for a healthy meat-free meal.

Their menu is pretty comprehensive, they have dishes and also ala carte menu. Asian and Western. Rice and noodle. I am sure that they will have something for everyone. Take your pick.

Curry mutton rice
I was toying between claypot chicken rice (RM 9.70) and curry mutton rice (RM 6.70). The latter won. Pardon the messy plate, but food is good.

Salted fish fried rice
Mom had salted fish fried rice (RM 6.70). Too big serving, and she had difficulties finishing her meal. So, I helped a bit. My first time trying vegetarian salted fish, salute whoever that invented this.

Vegetarian snack and sauce
Mom also bought a pack of dried mushroom snack (RM 12.70) for her SIL. These people are genius, they even have vegetarian dried meat!

I have introduced this restaurant to some friends before, and they like it .. So, do give this vegetarian restaurant a try for meat-free meal.

Not Your Typical Tourist

A passionate advocate for independent and solo travel, I traded life in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, for the vibrant streets of Bangkok, Thailand. This shift is all thanks to a "chance encounter" in 2009 that led to marriage with my Thai husband. I currently split my time between Bangkok (my main base) and Kuala Lumpur for family—documenting the unique blend of a Malaysian life lived abroad.
