How to help Cameron Highlands?

Cameron Highlands is one of D’s favourite place in Malaysia. After his first visit in 2009, he has been talking about revisiting it many times.
I ain’t no saint. Just like every other Malaysians, my tourism money attributed to the over-development and congestion in Cameron Highlands. All this at the expense of the weather, the soil erosion, the landslide. I am no expert, but this is what I gathered from reading and talking to the locals.

Tourism is important and rake in the tourist ringgits on the backs of locals’ tears and misery.
Like what I wrote in my previous post on Cameron Highlands, everyone has a role to play in creating responsible travel and tourism. Start small. Try to avoid weekend and public holiday. If you can’t, carpool. Avoid chain hotel; support local homestay. I was told that for organic strawberry, go to EQ farm. It is the only safe place for strawberry.
