Tiramisu at Nicolo Bakery: A Salty-Creamy Contender

I’ve been keeping a mental list of the city’s best Tiramisu for my family, as they are true aficionados of the dessert. Nicolo Bakery has been on my “Keep In View” (KIV) list for a while—originally known as a cozy, tucked-away café in Phra Khanong.

Lo and behold, they have recently expanded to Siam Paragon and Dusit Central Park, making them much more accessible via BTS and MRT.

The Taste Test

I finally picked up a slice of Original Tiramisu to-go for 195 THB. Here is the breakdown:

  • The Profile: It is incredibly creamy, but the standout feature is a subtle hint of saltiness on top that cuts through the richness.
  • The Verdict: While I can’t say for sure if the tough “tiramisu critics” in my family will give it a perfect score, I found it more than decent. In a city full of mediocre tiramisu, this one holds its own.

I’m genuinely excited to bring my family here during their next visit to see if it passes their ultimate taste test!

Not Your Typical Tourist

A passionate advocate for independent and solo travel, I traded life in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, for the vibrant streets of Bangkok, Thailand. This shift is all thanks to a "chance encounter" in 2009 that led to marriage with my Thai husband. I currently split my time between Bangkok (my main base) and Kuala Lumpur for family—documenting the unique blend of a Malaysian life lived abroad.
