Thantakit – English-speaking dental clinic in Bangkok

A good dentist is hard to find; I’ve been pretty adamant in sticking to my dentist back home and rarely that I visit dentist here in Bangkok. I thought I could wait this pandemic out, but I can delay the dental visit no more. Thantakit Dental Center is one of the English-speaking dental clinics that came up in forum, and their head quarter at Petchaburi is open on Saturday too – perfect for working people like me. I decided to give them a call one Saturday morning, and luckily, managed to get an appointment on the same day.

I took the MRT to Phetchaburi station, and then a short taxi ride to Thantakit Dental Center. It is located opposite to AVANI Atrium Bangkok Hotel. The whole building is the dental center – impressive. I had to fill in a registration form, and was then shown to one the dentist room. Staff speak good English, and so does the dentist- appreciate that the dentist being so patient with my gagging problem during the dental treatment process. Thank you, doc!

Teeth cleaning, scaling, polishing and filling – total damage 2,250 baht.

I did not request for a medical certificate at the clinic – one month later, was told to provide one for office claim. They obliged without much issue – and also agreed to send the document to their clinic at All Seasons Place (closer to my office) on the following working day. Overall good experience, clean clinic and equipment, no communication issue and yes, recommended to foreigners!

Travel opens up a whole new world, which is cliche but true. I am a strong advocate for independent and solo travel. I was born and raised in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia but now live in Bangkok, Thailand, resulted from a chance encounter in 2009 with my why-are-you-Thai bf. I am now split between two countries. One country for my bf, another for the family, for the occasional weekend together.
