A Life Between Two Countries, And All In Between

Thailand

My First Bunch Of Garlic

At the risk of sounding stupid ignorant, I have never had or bought a bunch of garlic before. Come to think of it, I have not seen it back home.

Checking with my siblings, my sisters told there that indeed it is available in Malaysia 🙂

A bulb of garlic vs a bunch of garlic

The garlic that I know, always comes in a head or bulb of garlic. Even those used at my home in KL, it always comes in this format. Needless to say, that’s what I have been using in Bangkok in the past 2 years.

Bunch of garlic

But bf’s mom and his aunt always have a bunch of garlic at their households. BIG bunch of garlic hanging on the kitchen wall is a norm for them.

We finally bought our first bunch of garlic, at 35 baht! Or rather, bf bought me my first bunch of garlic (how NOT romantic 555).

Our kitchen is now officially a Thai kitchen 🙂

Not Your Typical Tourist

Travel opens up a whole new world, which is cliche but true. I am a strong advocate for independent and solo travel. I was born and raised in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia but now live in Bangkok, Thailand, resulted from a chance encounter in 2009 with my why-are-you-Thai bf. I am now split between two countries. One country for my bf, another for the family, for the occasional weekend together.
