Uncle Tetsu Kurīmī Cheese Tart, I Like!
There are so many baked cheese tart options in Malaysia, aren’t we spoilt for choice?
Uncle Tetsu is well-known for their awesome cheesecake, which I still have not tried till now. Instead, I jumped ahead and tried their Kurīmī cheese tart! The cheese tart’s fillings are made from a blend of Mascarpone, Cream Cheese and Parmesan Cheese, perfect for those that prefer light-cheesy taste. They didn’t blow their trumpet on the cheese’s origin (unlike BAKE cheese tart), so not sure whether the cheeses are souced from Japan, or locally.
Passing by Uncle Tetsu one day, I saw the Kurīmī cheese tarts on display … these, if not mistaken are still uncooked. Since I was with my cheeky-meow-meow younger niece, who also adores cheese tart … I bought 2 pieces for sharing.
I had to wait 4 minutes for the cheese tarts, which were baking in a small oven. When these tarts came out from the oven, the strong whiff of cheesy aroma can bring a dead cheese-lover back to life.
I could smell the cheese tarts from inside the paper bag ... please, when I die, let me go to cheese heaven.
I like the light ooey gooey cheese. But, take my comments with a pinch of salt, or rather, a pinch of cheese. Eating it fresh from oven does makes a huge difference. I had mine within 10 minutes after purchase .. and it was still oozy, but not as ooey gooey as BAKE cheese tarts.
Cheeky meow, aka my younger niece, commented that it wasn’t as oozy as Tokyo Secret.
But I showed her mine (from photo) .. and she agreed that it is as oozy as Tokyo Secret. She ate hers 30 minutes after purchase, so the cheese fillings have hardens. So, make sure you eat these type of tarts as soon as possible, from wherever you bought it from.
Limited quantities available at Uncle Tetsu nationwide, at RM 4.50 each, and it’s limited to 6 pieces per customer.
