Mommy Gave The Famous Peter’s Pork Noodles Two Thumbs Down

“You can be the ripest, juiciest peach in the world, and there’s still going to be somebody who hates peaches.”.

Peter’s Pork Noodles has many fans. Porky lovers travel from far, for a bowl (or two) of the famous pork noodles.

Porky overload

I have been to Peter’s Pork Noodles at Restaurant One Sentral (opposite YMCA) before, but didn’t know there is an original Peter’s Pork Noodles nearby.

Reading raving reviews about the original Peter’s Pork Noodles, I brought my mom there. But na, not her cup of tea, or rather, not her bowl of porky noodle.

My mom likes pork noodles, or so I thought. She did tell me specifically once, that she likes pork noodles at a certain place. From this recent dining experience at Peter’s Pork Noodles, I guess, my old mom is not much of a pork noodles fan afterall.

She didn’t exactly gave her two thumbs down, but she commented that the soup is too porky, that it is not clear enough .. and err … too much porks.

Too much porks? This makes a good porky noodle, no? *scratchinghead*

As for me, not being a big porky fan, I thought that it is one of the better porky noodle in town. Will I go back for it? Well … no, but that’s because I am not a huge porky fan. Never crave for a bowl of porky noodle in my life.

There are 2 ways: either via Jalan Tun Sambanthan, or Jalan Vivekananda. If you drive, just park at Asia Park.

Not Your Typical Tourist

Travel opens up a whole new world, which is cliche but true. I am a strong advocate for independent and solo travel. I was born and raised in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia but now live in Bangkok, Thailand, resulted from a chance encounter in 2009 with my why-are-you-Thai bf. I am now split between two countries. One country for my bf, another for the family, for the occasional weekend together.
